Meet the family...
We are Chris, Lisa, Nathan, Bella, Rufus and Zeph and we came to Wild Acres and Cornwall in December 2012. I came from Plymouth with Nathan and Bella and met Chris while here in Cornwall and little Zeph arrived in May 2017 to complete our family.
I brought with us our two cats, Jasper and Milo and our beloved dog Troy. Troy was an old man though and he sadly passed away in October 2013 after enjoying the best retirement home ever! I added two new additions however in April 2013 with Fred and Flo, the pups. Unbelievably they came from the same litter but couldn't be more different! A mixture of springer/cocker/deerhound and collie they are great characters, ever so good and very friendly. We added Rex the Labrador to the mix in October 2016 and they became the pack the are now. All the dogs respond very well to commands but this is their home so they see all new people as potential friends, playmates and cuddle givers. This is fine with us as long as it's fine with you too - they can be a little enthusiastic sometimes so we encourage visitors not to let them take advantage!
The first year here was tough and the holiday let needed a complete overhaul. There were mushrooms growing and there was damp everywhere so the first few months were spent doing an awful lot of DIY. It really was my baby... a lot of long nights, broken nails, the odd minor injury, copious cups of tea and then finally it was ready for the first guests in time for Easter. Luckily our visitors loved it and we had a brilliant first year. The following years have even better and we have several families returning again for the sixth year!
The garden and infamous driveway have been our main projects since opening - all of which we do ourselves. In 2014 I added a more private garden for the holiday let with a picnic bench and a BBQ. Surrounded by Cornish Mint, Foxgloves and various other wild plants it's gorgeous and perfect for the views! We've also made some improvements inside along the way and we always welcome any feedback. We remember holidaying here ourselves and how special it was so our aim is to give you the best holiday we possibly can!
